Today was going to be a very full day for us...BUT someone else must have had another idea. Maybe we were supposed to just have a quiet down day, because that is what is coming of our day. We were on our way out to see Adam-ondi-Ahman, Far West and Haun's Mill this morning, had everything packed up and ready to go. Needed to stop for gas and then I got this "Feeling" that we really should stop to have the oil and fluids checked. Just after that the van started doing some weird urch, pull, tugg, tug sorta thing, I know you really needed to be there to understand what I am saying and since you can't hear me try to demonstrate it for you, that was really the best I could do.

Well, not too far from Nauvoo, we stopped at Ed's Car Care (how cute is that!!!). Well they have been simply delightful to work with...hooray, an honest mechanic does exist in this world (we haven't had that happen in a very long time, in case you were wondering why I made such a rude statement) Anyway, we pulled in and they checked it out. They are replacing some metal tube deal that was squirting antifreeze everywhere and then the reason for the strange happenings with the lurching, pulling, tugging was all because the spark plugs got wet during the whole antifreeze squirting.

Whew, I am so grateful that we were still right close to Nauvoo, because it could have been a horrible experience out in the middle of nowhere, which was just where we were headed. Maybe, just maybe it had something to do with that little prayer we said just as we were about to pull out this morning. :)

Missing you all back home, but it is so great to be here.
Hope to post some more fun photos tonight along with some other fun things we've been doing. If you've never been here or if it's been awhile, do all you can to make this happen for your family, it's such a treat! Until tonight ~ have a super, fabulous day!!!

  1. Hi Stacey,
Joy's Auto Clinic in Caldwell (10th and Homedale) is another honest mechanic, a bit closer to home. They are sometimes a little slow because they are so booked, but the are WONDERFUL to work with!
