There are not too many things I find more beautiful and peaceful than a blanketing snowfall...I could sit and look out the window for hours on end just enjoying the piling white softness that covers each branch and blade of grass, that reaches up to the bottom rail of the fences surrounding the pastures, the glorious white that sparkles atop each surface...
How could anyone not love winter and marvel in the beauty of it?
Winter is the perfect reminder of slowing down, enjoying all that is good and beautiful, reminiscing our childhood memories...and relishing in the joy of making new memories.
Who doesn't smile when they think of making snow angels, catching snowflakes as they gently fall from above, sledding and building that enchanting snowman?
The familiar smell of a winter day is almost as magical as the day itself...hot cocoa and cookies, pipin' hot chili and fresh cornbread, or a scrumptious pot of chicken and noodles with homemade rolls...
And then the adornment of winter fun...gloves, boots, scarves, hats, coats, snow pants, ear muffs, carrots and top hat for the snowman lay scattered from the front door clear to the fireplace where you'll find little people warming their bodies for the next round of fun...
Red cheeks and cold noses, crazy wild hair, frozen little finger tips and hot cocoa kisses...
These are the things that make me smile today ~ Happy December!!!
